A road accident at the Mongolia-China border crossing left three people injured. This accident took place on Tuesday at the entrance gate of Zamiin-Uud – Erlian border crossing -between Mongolia and China – after a container truck hit two sedans. As of now, the exact number of casualties has not been determined. The driver who caused the accident was drunk and ran away.
According to source, the queue of trucks entering Erlian from Zamin-Uud was increased and one direction of the four-lane road was blocked. Since China opens borders with Mongolia, 730 vehicles have been queuing up to cross the border. China opened its borders on 8 January.
