Mongolia to construct solar plant in Sainshand

Mongolia’s first ever solar power station began operation in the Khongor soum of Darkhan-Uul province on 19th of January. A second major solar plant will be constructed near the town of Sainshand in the Dornogovi province in Mongolia.

Ulaanbaatar public transport companies revenue doubles

Over a year ago, the public transportation system in the Mongolian capital  introduced smart cards known as ‘Umoney’. However, it is estimated that about 70 percent of bus-travellers in Ulaanbaatar still pay by cash. ADB: Mongolian economy growth to reach 2.5%

During an Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) conference on the economic outlook of Asia’s developing countries, it was predicted that Mongolia’s GDP growth will recover and reach 2.5 percent in 2017. Investment in the mining sector will continue for the next few years.
