The team of experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) arrived in Ulaanbaatar on 19th of July. The group of six is conducting a financial examination of Mongolia’s ministries.

In accordance with tradition, a thousand Mongolian servicemen have paraded on Sukhbaatar Square in the capital, Ulaanbaatar, in a ceremony paying respect to the new Commander-in-Chief, President Kh.Battulga. The event was held today (21st of July) during the ‘hour of the horse’ (9.40 a.m.-11.40).

Although many of the forest fires, which are raging across Mongolia, have been brought under control, the situation still remains very serious.

As of Monday (17th of July), the Mongolian National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has extinguished one forest fire and 12 others or 57 percent of the total, have been brought under control.
