Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar expressed his satisfaction with current Mongolia-Canada relations and cooperation and underlined the importance of enhancing the bilateral economic relations in the agricultural sector when he met H.E. David William Sproule, Canadian Ambassador to Mongolia.

Every year Mongolia celebrates the birthday of Chinggis Khaan on the first day of winter according to the traditional Mongolian calendar as a national holiday, also known as National Pride Day.

Winter has come to Mongolia with massive snowfalls. Road conditions in some parts of the country are icy and dangerous for driving. Snowfall and strong wind is expected in most regions over the coming days causing drifitng; therefore the public are being urged to avoid travelling with their own cars and, if they must, drive with care and attention especially in traffic.

A new amendment to the personal income tax law, which was approved by Mongolia’s State Great Khural (parliament) will come into effect from 1 January, 2018. Currently, the personal income tax rate stands at 10 percent. Under the new amendment, the rate will be increased by between 10-25 percent in 2018.

Today (7th of November), the young Mongolian singer presented one of his three cups from the renowned ‘BBC’ competition to M.Enkhbold, the Speaker of Parliament at State House.

B.Batzorig, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry has received H.E.Jiri Brodskiy, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Mongolia. During the meeting, the two discussed projects implemented in the framework of the Czech’s government’s Mongolia Fund for the period 1996-2017.

The new hospital for the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS) is expected to open in July 2018. Construction work has begun in the Bayanzurkh district of Ulaanbaatar.
