A Mongolian woman going from Hong Kong to Urumch city of Shinjiang was arrested when police found large amounts of narcotics in her bag, according to a report from the Mongolian Embassy in Beijing to the Mongolian Foreign Ministry. The woman does not have a criminal record and is not in the list of suspected drug dealers. The woman is about 30 years old and has her own business.
Several Mongolians have been arrested and given the highest penalties in China in drug-related cases. On May 28 last year, L.Baigalmaa was caught carrying 149 tablets made of 2,004 grams of 48.7 percent heroin. She was sentenced to life in prison.
