In the first two months of 2020 The Central Bank of Mongolia, or Mongol Bank, bought a total of 4.3 tonnes of gold from legal entities and individuals. The bank purchased 952 kg of gold in February; this represents an increase of 856 kg on the same month in 2019.
The average price of 1 gram of gold stood at MNT 140,292.94 last month.
The Mongolian Gold Reserve averaged 4.04 tonnes from 2000 until 2019, reaching an all-time high of 20.08 tonnes in the third quarter of 2019.
