Some petrol stations have stopped selling AI-92 and AI-95 petrol and diesel from Tuesday. “Petrovis” and “Sod Mongol” LLC have stopped selling causing long queues at petrol stations on 6th November. An official from “Petrovis” LLC, one of the Mongolian petrol importers made a statement that: “We have run out of petrol reserves. If we buy expensive petrol we will see losses. We intend not to buy the high priced imported petrol so petrol shortages are expected”.

“Sod Mongol” LLC is selling petrol only by client card.

The biggest petrol supplier, Rosneft, increased the price of petrol by 44 US dollars per ton last month. The supplier has increased the price by an additional 49 US dollars this month.  Therefore import companies intend to increase petrol prices. But the Mongolian energy institutes and Ministry of Mining Industry objects to a price increase.
