On 26th of December, parents demonstrated against air pollution in Ulaanbaatar, demanding that officials take urgent and efficient action. ‘Mothers Against Air Pollution’ which organised the demonstration, presented a letter containing demands to Mongolian government officials. However, because the officials did not answer their questions, the parents are planning another demonstration against air pollution. The march, entitled ‘Suffocating’ will take place on 28^th of January.

On the last occasion, the parents, wearing masks and holding banners and placards, demonstrated through the Mongolian capital to raise awareness of the fatal consequences of air pollution and smog; small children suffer the most and the city's hospitals are still filled to overflowing with sick infants in this, the worst winter in a decade.
