South Korean Air Busan has launched a new regular scheduled service to Mongolia, as it began the Busan – Ulaanbaatar operation. The first flight took place on June 24, with an Airbus A320 type aircraft operating twice-weekly flights on Tuesdays and Fridays. The airline is the second airline from Korea operating in Mongolia after Korean Air which connects Seoul and Ulaanbaatar. ‘It will be an air shuttle’ Suh Byung-soo mayor of Busan city said.
Mayor Suh Byung-soo is currently visiting Ulaanbaatar. In meetings with Ulaanbaatar's new mayor S.Batbold, he has been discussing cooperation in key sectors such as travel, health, business and education between the two cities.
Busan is South Korea's second largest city after Seoul and an important industrial centre, where many Mongolians work.
