The Wrestling Champion Cup named after President of Mongolia took place on 29th December in Ulaanbaatar’s Wrestling Palace. The country’s 128 top wrestlers participated in the event, which was held as part of the 104th anniversary of the “Day of National Freedom and Sovereignity”.
The Champion Cup was organized by the Presidential Administration and the Mongolian National Wrestling Federation. The competition was won by B.Purevsaikhan, who holds the rank of State “Hawk”. B.Purevsaikhan belongs to the “Khovd Arena” in Khovd Province’s Chandmani Soum. The State “Elephant” ranking wrestler Ch.Sanjaadamba, who belongs to the “Aldar Sport Commission” and “Bukh-Bilegt Arena” in Arkhangai Province’s Khashaat Soum, took second place.
This is the second time, that “hawk” B.Purevsaikhan has won the Champion Cup. Also, this is the first time, “elephant” Ch.Sanjaadamba has participated in the final, being defeated by Purevsaikhan.
