The winner of the “2015 Technology Achievement Awards” in the Scientific Category has been announced. The MNT 100 million award goes to Professor of chemistry Dr D.Demberelnyam for inventing “Horse bone calcium pills”. The prize money is being financed by the Government’s Science and Technology Foundation.
Professor D.Demberelnyam has been developing the calcium pills, which preserve the biological features of the Mongolian horse, over the space of many years using biotechnological and biochemical methodology. The product which has been recognized as a Mongolian brand is ecologically pure and meets international import requirements. The Professor’s calcium pills are aimed at the export market. In addition, this product is three times more biologically active than other products. Laboratory tests have proved that the pills can be effective in preventing osteoporosis.
