On 27th October, the Standing Committee for Security and Foreign Affairs held a closed session, during which, they discussed the draft law on the “Permanent Neutrality of Mongolia”. President Ts.Elbegdorj has been responsible for initializing the law. The “Permanent Neutrality of Mongolia” consists of three chapters and eleven articles.
Mongolia has promoted a policy of neutrality for the last 25 years. It is therefore considered due time to legalize this policy. Also, it is expected that this law will improve the legal framework for national security, defense, and foreign policy.
