Customs officers detained a MIAT employee who was trying to smuggle a large amount of religious items through border control on October 9th. The suspected employee was N.Khishigsuren who works as a luggage dispatcher for MIAT.  During a check customs officers confiscated over 100 pieces of sutra, bells, and other materials used for Buddhist`s rituals.  The suspect claimed that she was going to donate the items to a newly established Mongolian temple in India.  The investigation department for civil aviation has started an official investigation into the case.
