An interesting reality TV show has begun broadcasting on the country’s 25th Channel highlighting the differences between the lifestyle of Mongolian and Inner Mongolian herders’.

Today (20th April), the ‘Eco products-2017’ exhibition opened on Ulaanbaatar’s Sukhbaatar Square ahead of the second forum of Environmental Protection Partnerships tomorrow.

The first conference of Young Mongolian entrepreneurs was held at the Mongolian National Chamber Of Commerce and Industry on 20th of April.

S.Batbold, mayor of Mongolia’s capital said on Wednesday (19th April) that Ulaanbaatar is seeking to forge a sister city agreement with Tokyo by 2020 and expand bilateral ties through tourism, culture and sports. At present Mayor Batbold is making a five-day visit to Tokyo.

An international conference and exhibition entitled “Technology & Investment to Mongolia 2017” has opened at Ulaanbaatar’s ’Shangri-La Hotel’. The event will last 2 days from 20th to 21st of April.

Today (20th of April), Mongolians marked the 55th anniversary of the birth of S.Zorig, who has been officially named as the father of Mongolia’s democratic revolution.

’Sputnik’, ’Voyager’, ’Mariner’ and ’Galileo’ are the sort of names space probes and satellites should have – especially for a country’s first domestic foray into earth orbit! Mongolia’s first satellite is called simply ‘Monsat-1’!  The satellite was launched by Mongolian ‘MongolSat Networks’ company in cooperation with ‘ABS’ (Asia Broadcast Satellite) without fanfare on 21st of January.

In recent years, the number of fatalities from accidents and disasters has been increasing in Mongolia due to climate change and human error.

The Business Council of Mongolia has organised its annual business consultation under the theme ‘International cooperation for developing the private sector’. The event was held at the Tuushin Hotel on 17th of April and attended by ambassadors from the USA, Canada, Germany and Japan.

The Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championship will take place in the Indian capital of Delhi from 10th to 14th of May. Mongolian freestyle wrestlers will participate in the competition.
