Ulaanbaatar aims for sister city deal with Tokyo

S.Batbold, mayor of Mongolia’s capital said on Wednesday (19th April) that Ulaanbaatar is seeking to forge a sister city agreement with Tokyo by 2020 and expand bilateral ties through tourism, culture and sports. At present Mayor Batbold is making a five-day visit to Tokyo.

Mongolia in Space!

’Sputnik’, ’Voyager’, ’Mariner’ and ’Galileo’ are the sort of names space probes and satellites should have – especially for a country’s first domestic foray into earth orbit! Mongolia’s first satellite is called simply ‘Monsat-1’!  The satellite was launched by Mongolian ‘MongolSat Networks’ company in cooperation with ‘ABS’ (Asia Broadcast Satellite) without fanfare on 21st of January.

Four Ambassadors participate in Mongolian business consultation

The Business Council of Mongolia has organised its annual business consultation under the theme ‘International cooperation for developing the private sector’. The event was held at the Tuushin Hotel on 17th of April and attended by ambassadors from the USA, Canada, Germany and Japan.
