Polo Resources has announced
execution of a memorandum of understanding with Peabody Energy Corporation and
Winsway Coking Coal Holdings for the sale of Polo”s 50% interest in the
Peabody-Polo Resources B.V. Mongolian joint venture. The JV was formed to hold
all of Polo”s coal
Ulaanbaatar’s
children will receive an exciting gift on this year’s Mothers’ and Children’s
Day. On June 1, the City administration will bring together 100 animals of
several species found in Mongolia,
such as wolves, rabbits, foxes, and deer.
The Government has accepted the proposal of the Mineral
Resources and Energy Ministry and appointed N.Myagmarsuren to head the
Coordinators’ Council of the Energy Regulation Authority. He succeeds R.Gaanjuur
who was removed from his post because of unsatisfactory performance.

on June 1 and will leave the next day, according to the Mongolian Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and Trade. He will hold wide ranging talks with his host, Prime
Minister S. Batbold.
A formal ceremony on Monday saw Satbir Singh present his
credentials as Indian Ambassador to Mongolia to President Ts.Elbegdorj.
Singh is not new to the region as he earlier served at India’s embassy in Moscow and was for some time acting
ambassador there.
