Citizens P.Odgerel, B.Tsogtgerel, N.Ariunbold, P.Sersmaa, N.Chadraabal, and Yo.Byambatogtokh have recently complained to the Constitution Court that some provisions of the law on election, which has been passed by Parliament on December, 15, 2011, have violated the Constitution and the law on parliament.

The election law instructs that 48 MPs will be elected from electoral districts, while 28 will be elected at large, based on a party’s proportion of the vote. Citizens have viewed that above mentioned provision has violated the Constitution and they have requested the Constitution Court to revise the provision.

Besides, some other provisions of the election law have violated the law on parliament and the Constitution.

A media official of the Constitution Court has stated that a meeting to decide citizens’ complain will be held in March.
