At a special meeting of the Government on Tuesday, members discussed revising the 2012 state budget, changes to the social insurance fund, and amendments to Parliament’s 54th and 55th protocols relating to the proposals. The Cabinet decided that Parliament should urgently discuss these issues.

After the meeting, Finance Minister D.Khayankhyarvaa submitted proposals to Speaker D.Demberel. The Government has prepared a revised state budget to increase state workers’ salaries and pensions. It has also proposed increasing social insurance and welfare payments sooner than originally scheduled.

The Cabinet has already discussed salary, pension, and welfare increases three times. It has decided to revise the 2012 state budget in accordance with an agreement between the MPP and DP caucuses at Parliament.
