The Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy, the National Development and Renovation Committee, and the website mining.mn are jointly organizing an international forum called “Coal Mongolia 2012” on February 9 and 10.

This is the second such forum, and it is aimed at attracting investment in the country’s coal mining sector.

Representatives of coal mining companies, investors, banks, financial specialists, mining engineers, and logistics operations will discuss issues including the latest environmentally-friendly technologies, mutually-beneficial cooperation, and improving Mongolia’s competitiveness in the industry.

During the forum, there will be seminars and roundtables with experts, and participating companies will announce their future plans. There will also be an awards ceremony to honor the “best of” Mongolia’s mining sector.
