The DP and MPP caucuses separately discussed a draft law on education on Monday.
The Government has submitted the draft law. Education, Culture and Science Minister Yo.Otgonbayar answered MPs’ questions. The law is related to salary increases for teachers who went on strike last month demanding raises beginning January 1. The Government agreed to increase teachers’ salaries.

The draft law would also give secondary school directors, kindergarten directors, librarians, and school doctors a bonus equal to six months’ salary every five years.

Yo.Otgonbayar said the draft law will also increase training and education to improve the skills of teachers.
