J.Batzandan, a member of the DP’s National Consultative Committee, has resigned from the Representative Managing Council of Erdenes Tavantolgoi LLC so he can run for a seat in the 2012 parliamentary election.

The new election law requires candidates who work for the state or state-owned companies to resign their positions six months before the election.

J.Batzandan was appointed to the Representative Managing Council of Erdenes Tavantolgoi LLC in 2010. He was nominated from Bayanzurkh district in the 2008 parliamentary election. The DP will determine his nomination for the 2012 election.
