The number of fires in ger districts has increased recently due to the cold weather. Ulaanbaatar Emergency Office received 64 fire calls in a week, meaning there were about 10 fires a day.

Fires were reported in the Bayanzurkh, Songinokhairkhan, and Bayangol districts. Two men were killed in the fires, and much property was damaged.

That is why Ulaanbaatar Emergency Office is warning people to repair damaged stoves, to correctly connect chimney parts, to completely extinguish ashes, and to provide safe electricity.
