At the Government meeting last Wednesday, members decided to increase the health insurance deduction in 2012, and passed a protocol that will be enforced from January 1, 2012. Organizations and workers will pay four percent of monthly salary.

According to the protocol, the state will pay MNT 670 for students who study in institutes, universities, colleges, and professional training centers. The state will also take responsibility of the health insurance deduction for herders and prison inmates.

Also, according to the law on health insurance, foreigners will pay six percent of their salary.
