About 500 citizens from 19 soums in the aimag participated in the event, stating their opinions on the development of local settlements.
Some citizens criticized the aimag’s governor, Ye.Baatarbileg, for allegedly hiring MPP officials to manage the aimag. Some also criticized increases in the size of state organizations.
Participants also warned of illnesses spreading among children in the aimag, and complained about the quality of health care available to sick children.
Some citizens also said kindergartens in the aimag are insufficient, and secondary school teachers do not have the necessary equipment and materials. Some students do not have textbooks, and training programs are overenrolled.
Unemployment is one of the problems facing the aimag, and citizens requested job programs in soums. Some complained that a loan program for small- and medium-sized businesses has not been administered fairly.
Tsetserleg city does not have central heating and air pollution there is increasing. Also, some apartments do not have enough heat in the winter. Garbage collection is another problem in the city.
