Ts.Elbegdorj gave a brief overview of Mongolian history, including the Khunnu state, Chinggis Khaan, the socialist era, and the democratic revolution in 1990. Then he answered the questions of students. The President noted that Mongolia is one of ten countries that has abundant natural resources.
He said Mongolia’s economy is developing rapidly, and the Government is investing revenue from natural resources into the health, education, and infrastructure sectors. He said Mongolia’s two great neighbors respect the Mongolian people’s choices. He also reiterated the Government’s “third neighbor” policy, and said Mongolia retains its nomadic tradition while also maintaining a modern lifestyle.
