Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj paid an official visit to Croatia at the invitation of his counterpart Ivo Josipovic on October 19 and 20. The presidents of Mongolia and Croatia held talks and exchanged opinions on bilateral relations and cooperation.

The two sides noted the significance of intensifying cooperation in trade and economics, and underlined the possibility of cooperation in the food, agriculture, light industry, infrastructure, culture, education, tourism, and environmental protection sectors.

The Mongolians asked the Croatians to increase the number of Mongolian citizens studying in Croatia. Croatia accepted the request and stated its intention to cooperate with Mongolia in international affairs, including Community of Democracy activity, the fight against international terrorism, and development.

Ts.Elbegdorj thanked the Croatian people for their warm welcome and invited Ivo Josipovic to visit Mongolia.
