The State Supreme Court (SSC) will hear the appeal of the environmental group United Movements for Rivers and Lakes on Thursday. The group contends that the Government is allowing mining companies to wreak environmental damage in Mongolia.

The Songinokhairkhan district court first dismissed the group’s claims on the grounds of insufficient data. Ulaanbaatar Court then dismissed the group’s appeal last March.

That is why United Movements for Rivers and Lakes has appealed to the SSC.
