Speaker D.Demberel left for Switzerland on Sunday to take part in the 125th assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which is being held in Bern from October 16 to 19. The Speaker is accompanied by several officials, including MPs B.Batbayar and S.Oyun, and Secretary General of Parliament’s Office Ts.Sharavdorj.

The assembly is discussing an IPU committee’s report on UN affairs, proposed amendments to the statues and rules of the IPU, and the agenda for the next IPU assembly in Kampala from March 31 to April 5, 2012. The assembly plans to organize meetings on market reform.

Ts.Sharavdorj is also taking part in the regular meeting of the Parliamentary Secretary Generals’ Association.
