Twenty MPs who delivered a note about the Oyutolgoi investment agreement to Prime Minister S.Batbold on September 7 are not happy with the response. They demanded a reply from the prime minister by October 1. Instead they got a reply on Tuesday – and not from Batbold, but from the head of the Cabinet Secretariat, Ch.Khurelbaatar.

The MPs, who are urging the Government to renegotiate the two-year-old agreement, also aren’t pleased with the contents of the reply, which says the agreement was made according to legislation passed by Parliament.

Now the MPs say they want to meet with Batbold to discuss the issue. They have sent their request to head of Parliament’s Office Ts.Sharavdorj.
