Sources say the governor of Songinokhairkhan District, Ts.Bold, was arrested Thursday evening. He is accused of embezzling MNT 300 million from the budget.

The head of the environment pollution and garbage management department of the Mayor’s Office, B.Delgerjargal, was also arrested. The two men are accused of being accomplices in the embezzlement, with the money to be used to buy snow-melting substances.

The State Investigation Board is investigating. The Anti-Economic Crimes Office of the Criminal Police Department is detaining the two men.
