
As part of the program, Deputy Speaker G.Batkhuu met with local residents who run small- and medium-sized business enterprises (SME) in Tugrug soum. He applauded them for their plan to borrow money from a bank to expand their businesses.
Businesses in Tugrug soum include food processing, brick and building material manufacture, shoemaking, car repair, iron and wood products, and pressed firewood.
Batkhuu noted that domestic production of value-added products is important for the country and citizens could raise their incomes by running SME. Local residents said that SME development is feasible in the countryside, and they requested flexible interest rates and terms from banks.
