With the weather set to be stable next month, we’ve compiled information on local, national, and international festivals you can visit over the weekend in Mongolia.
“Ten thousand camel festival”, which is very popular with tourists, will be held in Umnugovi province from February 1-3. The festival is one of the major tourism activities in the Gobi and has become a tradition and is being held for the 26th year. More than 400 camels from 7 provinces and 8,500 domestic and 120 foreign tourists attended last year’s festival.
“Burkhant winter festival” will be held on February 1st and 2nd. The festival, which will be held for the second year, aims to popularize winter sports and traditional festivals, develop domestic tourism, promote traditional games and festivals, pass them on to future generations, and promote intangible cultural heritage to the public through a combination of culture, sports, and tourism.
“Ice аrchery 2025” festival will be held in Yeroo soum, Selenge province. The festival, which is being held for the third year, will feature archers from Mongolia, Buryatia, and Inner Mongolia.
“Ulaanbaatar Winter Festival” will be held on February 15 and 16. The festival will be organized by the Ulaanbaatar city Tourism Department in collaboration with “Sky Resort” LLC.
“Nomad Winter Festival”, which attracts both domestic and foreign tourists, will be held in Ulaanbaatar from the 16th to the 23rd.
“Blue Pearl-2025” international ice festival will be held from February 13-23 in Khatgal, Khuvsgul province.
