Mongolian sculptors won the World Snow Sculpting Championship

Mongolian sculptors won the World Snow Sculpting Championship

The World Snow Sculpting Championship, held in Stillwater, Minnesota, USA in January 2025. The Mongolian team, known as “Team Falcon,” won first place with their sculpture titled “Voice.” This victory marked the first time a Mongolian team has won the World Snow Sculpting Championship.

Sculptors Ts.Batmunkh, B.Govisaikhan, and A.Ikhbandi represented Mongolia in the competition.

In 2025, the championship took place from January 15th to 19th at Lowell Park, situated along the scenic St. Croix River. Twelve teams participated, including representatives from Mongolia, Mexico, Taiwan, Finland, and the United States.

The competition concluded with the following results:

  • First Place: Team Falcon from Mongolia with their sculpture titled “Voice.”
  • Second Place: Team JetSet from Mexico with their piece “Trapped.”
  • Third Place, People’s Choice, and Artist’s Choice: Team Taiwan for “Whispers in the Breeze.”

Previously, Mongolian sculptors participated 36th Harbin International Ice Sculpture Competition, held from January 2 to 4, 2025, at the Harbin Ice and Snow World in China. Over 60 ice sculptors from countries including China, South Korea, Russia, Spain, the United States, Ecuador, France, India, Mexico, Serbia, and Montenegro participated. The Mongolian team achieved remarkable success, winning one gold and one silver medal.
