The International Multicultural Film Festival (IMFF) is an annual event held in Perth, Western Australia, dedicated to celebrating diversity through cinema. Established in 2020, the festival showcases independent films from filmmakers representing a wide array of ethnic and religious communities worldwide. Its mission is to promote understanding, tolerance, and inclusion by highlighting stories that reflect the rich tapestry of human experiences.
The 2024 edition of IMFF took place over four weeks in October, featuring a diverse selection of films that emphasized themes of diversity, inclusion, and peaceful coexistence. The festival accepted both documentary and drama films, with short films capped at 40 minutes and feature films at 120 minutes. Submissions were required to be in English or accompanied by English subtitles.
Awards were presented in several categories, each accompanied by a $200 prize and an official laurel:
