Defense ministers of the two countries held a meeting in February this year. The Deputy Ministers mutually agreed on the implementation of the work and measures discussed in previous meeting, the development of defense research and analysis, and the implementation of joint projects and programs. Within the frame of visit, Deputy Minister of Defence of Japan Makoto Oniki has paid respects at the Japanese Citizens Memorial. Makoto Oniki visited Mongolian Army Land Forces Command and acquaintanced the command operations.
