“National Forestry Second Conference”, initiated by Mongolian President U.Khurelsukh, is being held today /2024.03.05/. During the conference, Mongolian President U.Khurelsukh said that “Under the “One Billion Tree” National Campaign, the goal of increasing the area covered by forests to nine percent by 2030 will be implemented”.

“In the last two years, the number of tree nurseries operating nationwide has reached 452. Furthermore, 12.1 thousand tons of seeds and 62.9 million seedlings of 39 species of trees and shrubs have been stockpiled, and a total of 41.5 million trees have been planted and grown. Strengthened the fight against forest harmful insects, and managed to protect and grow about a billion trees on 275,000 hectares in 2023. In 2024, more than 300,000 hectares of land will be protected from harmful insects.

The “Billion Trees” movement will not only be implemented for 10 years, but will continue. Mongolians should plant billions of trees. Our next generation will continue this work.”
