Four seasons of weather hit Mongolian capital city of Ulaanbaatar almost simultaneously with everything from snow to warm spring-like sunshine in last three days.
Strong winds and yellow dust storms ripped large parts of Mongolia on Saturday (9 April). The storms have swept through the southern provinces of Umnugovi and Dundgovi, the western provinces of Govi-Altai and Bayankhongor, and central areas, such as the capital city Ulaanbaatar and provinces of Uvurkhangai and Tuv, as well as the eastern provinces of Khentii and Sukhbaatar.
The wind speed reached 18-24 meters per second, the National Emergency Management Agency said, warned citizens, especially nomadic herders, to take extra precautions against possible disasters.
The very next day, sleet fell in Ulaanbaatar city and caused traffic jams on Sunday (10 April). But today (11 April), it is warm and sunny in Ulaanbaatar as spring coming.
