Health Ministry of Mongolia is reporting 95 cases of COVID-19 for Thursday, down from Wednesday’s 164 (Tuesday, 97; Monday 92, Sunday 94 and Saturday 175, Friday 219). The 7-day case average is 133.
Hospitalizations and ICU stays have fallen dramatically the last few weeks. The new statewide Covid-19 health guidance began on 15 February, meaning for the foreign travelers are now not required to give PCR tests and vaccination certificates when arriving Mongolia.
There were no additional COVID-related deaths for seven straight days, which stand at 2177 statewide.
So far, 66.8 percent of the country’s total population of 3.4 million have received two COVID-19 vaccine doses, 1,029,416 people have received a third dose, and 111,036 or 3.4 percent have received a fourth dose, which the country started to administer on 7 Janiary on a voluntary basis.
