Today (21 January), Mongolia reported 3282 new COVID-19 infections, the highest daily increase since September 2021, bringing the national tally to 420,839.

According to the National Center for Communicable Diseases, omicron cases currently account for 90 percent of new daily infections in Mongolia.

As of today, a total of 52044 coronavirus patients are being treated at home and 10080 patients at hospitals nationwide; increased by 2-3 times since December, 2021.

A woman aged between 21 and 40 was died of Covi-19 in the last 24 hours; raising the country’s death toll to 2093.
