Mr. Sh.Odonbaatar , the first Ambassador of Mongolia to the UAE presented a copy of the his credentials to Alya Mohamed Almehrezi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Protocols Affairs Office at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Almehrezi wished the Ambassador success in the performance of his duties and in enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and Mongolia.

The newly appointed Ambassador expressed his pleasure at representing his country in the United Arab Emirates, which enjoys a prestigious regional and international position thanks to the visionary policy of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The interest of UAE citizens to explore Mongolia has been growing in recent years. Relaxation or elimination of visa requirements between the two sides will send a strong impetus to boost tourism.

Mongolia and the UAE established diplomatic relations in April 1996. The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, the UAE development aid institution, has financed many development projects in Mongolia.
