On Tuesday, two pet cats have tested positive for COVID-19 in Mongolia, reported the country’s National Center for Zoonotic Diseases. The cats may have contracted the virus from their owners, who have tested positive for the virus.
Previously, the country had confirmed that seven beavers of the Beaver Breeding Center at the Environmental Department of the capital Ulaanbaatar had tested positive for the coronavirus.
So far, Mongolia has 263,446 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 1,066 deaths.
