The National Statistical Office (NSO) of Mongolia reported yesterday (22 July), the results of a survey on the vaccination situation in the country.
As of 5 July, 35.5 percent of all reported Covid-19 in the country, were people who had been vaccinated. The report reveals that 27.9 of those confirmed with coronavirus were fully vaccinated whilst 7.6 percent of them have received the first doses; the remaining 64.5 percent were unvaccinated.
The study indicates that 81.4 percent of the Mongolian population aged above 15 has been fully vaccinated. The NSO document also reveals that seven in ten people in Mongolia get Covid-19 vaccine made by China’s Sinopharm. However, only 1.9 percent of those vaccinated with Verocell vaccine by Sinopharm contracted coronavirus; this can be contrasted with the efficacy rates of 2.4 percent with Sputnik-V, 3.5 percent with AstraZeneca, 6.8 percent with Covishield and 0.9 percent with Pfizer.
