Today (21 December), the Mongolian Government has restored strict lockdown measures after General Hospital of Bayanzurh District of the capital became a new epicenter of the pandemic. Therefore, a public emergency readiness and preparation (second degree emergency situation) will be issued for 14 days from 23 December, 2020 until 6 January, 2021.
As of today, 62 confirmed cases reported at this hospital: 12 of them were doctors, eight discharged patients, six carers and the remainder – in patients.
Mongolia downgraded its emergency situation on 14 December after over a month-long lockdown.
