As in many other countries, the length of time people are required to isolate has become a very controversial topic in Mongolia. Originally, the government stipulated a mandatory isolation period for those recovered from coronavirus or under observation with suspected of COVID-19 for 21 days in quarantine centres and 14 days at home.
Following increasing complaints, the National Emergency Commission has decided to reduce the days of mandatory isolations by a week. So, Mongolians now will have to isolate in the designated centres for 14 days and at home for a week.
