President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga has vetoed the bill for the 2021 State Budget. The notifying letter was submitted to Speaker of Parliament and Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar, yesterday, 24 November.
The Bill for the State Budget for the fiscal year of 2021 was adopted at the State Great Khural’s plenary session of 13 Novemberalong with its appropriation bills, and was submitted to the president on 18 November, 2020.
The final readings of the bill of 2021 State Budget coincided with the days, when Mongolia recorded its first domestic transmissions of COVID-19. This represents a severe blow to the country and its people after months of diligence; people’s lives have literally been turned upside down. Now thecountry’s economy faces much greater risks than before.
