Under the Law on Elections and other relevant legistation, the sale of alcohol as well as public events are being banned by decree of the mayor of Ulaanbaatar. The ban will last for three days from 22-23 June. During the liquor ban, individuals will not be allowed to sell or serve strong drinks anywhere in the capital.
Furthermore, during the period, cultural, sports events and large gatherings are also banned. These cannot take place anyway because of the coronavirus measures.
On 24 June the general election will take place. This has been declared a public holiday nationwide.
