The National Emergency Commission decided today (19 June) to continue repatriation flights into July. Therefore, MIAT Mongolian Airlines will conduct Government chartered flights to five destinations for evacuating Mongolians stranded in foreign countries. The charter flights are planned to the following destinations:
- Seoul on 2 July
- Tokyo on 4 July
- Seoul on 7 July
- Istanbul (transit) on 9 July
- Seoul (transit) on 15 July
In addition, over 160 Mongolians who are stranded in China will be repatriated through the Zamyn Uud border crossings. In the wake of the new cases reported at the Beijing market, Mongolia has banned imports of sea food products from China in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
