Mongolia’s total number of Covid-19 has risen to 42 as one more passenger from the recent Frankfurt evacuation flight was diagnosed positive with coronavirus on Friday (8 May).

Mongolia evacuated over 260 its nationals with a chartered flight from Covid-19-hit Europe on 3 May. All confirmed 42 cases, including four foreign nationals, have been imported. Mongolia has reported no local transmissions and deaths so far.

Furthermore, there are 28 patients with coronavirus under treatment in the National Centre for Communicative Diseases; two of them are critical.

Separately, 30 Mongolians who are stuck in foreign countries have confirmed having coronavirus; 13 of them have recovered, reported the Health Ministry.
