South Korea’s Salvation Army helping Mongolian children with heart diseases

The Third State Central Hospital of Mongolia has established a Memorandum of Understanding with the representative office of South Korea’s Salvation Army NGO in Mongolia.

Under the MoU, the two sides will cooperate in providing Mongolian children with congenital and acquired heart disease with financial support for cardiovascular surgery services in 2020.

In 2017, six Mongolian children with congenital heart defects underwent cardiac surgery in the Republic of Korea free of charge thanks to Korea’s Salvation Army International, the sponsor of their surgical treatment cost.

The Third Hospital provides cardiac surgery and arrhythmia surgery services for children from every part of the country and works to together with international health professionals and teams to upskill its workers.
