A Mongolian transit driver of heavy goods vehicles has been confirmed as having coronavirus, becoming the 34th case of Covid-19 in the country. He is one of 79 transit drivers who are currently under quarantine in hotels since returning to Mongolia on 18 April through the Altanbulag border crossing with Russia. His wife’s test results are being awaited, however, there do not appear to be any symptoms. The driver travelled through Russia to Hungary on 21 February.
To date, seven Mongolians have been discharged from hospital after having fully recovered from Covid-19.
