The National Emergency Commission of Mongolia announced today (21 April) that there will be more evacuation flights to Seoul and Frankfurt. The Government-chartered flights will fly to the South Korean capital on 30 April and the central German city on 3 May, reported Colonel B.Uuganbayar, Deputy Chief of the National Emergency Management Agency.
A total of 9412 Mongolians staying in 35 countries have applied to return home.
The Government demands that its citizens take tests before flying on the evacuation planes. In addition, 500 people who transited through several countries will be quarantined at the National Centre for Communicative Diseases.
As of today, (21 April), Mongolia has 34 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection; all of them are imported.
